From the Nerd Night post:

Like all Nerd Nights, this party is FREE and will be for benefit of The Julian Center, an organization in Indianapolis whose vision is "to permanently end the cycle of domestic violence in the families we serve." The Julian Center is the official charity of Gen Con in 2015.

I was there. Young reader. I among throng of approximately 370 attendees. Games where played, Door Prizes distributed.

~370 attendees in total

Then best of all from 7:00p to 12:00a We raised $1270.00 for the cause. With all the donations being direct to the representatives of the charity.

The lighting was just unnaturally low.

Nerd Night is one of the things that always has a way of warming my heart. JR Honeycutt conceived this group with the intent of making the world a better place. With each Nerd Night helping a different chosen charity. It allows gamers to come together. Enter a free raffle for donated prizes by great companies such as Looney Labs, Mayfair Games, Calliope Games, Ad Magic, and many many more.

This year at GenCon door prizes included 'Trophy Buck" by Steve Jackson Games. Fluxx Dice (a new expansion for Fluxx). As well as Zombicide promo minis.

If you're still reading this I'd urge you to continue our work from tonight. Go to The Julian Center's website. Make a donation and help make the world a better place.
