On Track Thursday! Like A Boss!

Hey there readers, I am just checking in with you. You're the ones that help keep me honest. I am right on track this Thursday to break through the weekend and get my steps up to my 70k goal for the week.

Well! Not a bad Tuesday you might say! but it was. It ruined my thrill of the process. As I pointed out in a previous post, My parents got involved on the Withings tracking, and I pushed myself really hard to catch up to my mom, who it seems is a walking wizard.

This made the whole ordeal feel like a chore. When I am wanting it to feel natural and as if its a welcome part of my life. 10,000 steps is the baseline, I shouldn't be pushing myself harder than that for the first 90 days.

I came to terms with it and actually spoke to my mum about it. That I am proud of her activity and that I cannot let it get into my head to much, that I wont be paying too much attention to the leader board going forward. That I just need to focus on my own shit for a while. Which went well, I think.

But back to it. I've been hitting my calorie goal (after slipping up bad this holiday weekend) I think I Just got back to where I was before the pool party:

That thick blue line is the Real MVP, that is the average change. so although I went way up for a couple days. The average shows only a small bump in the long timeline of working on my goal, not even a speed bump.  This is the blessing of having a long term goal. Focus on measuring it in the long term and you wont get discouraged.

I am also starting to feel that thing people warned me about. HUNGER.

In my old lifestyle, I was constantly snacking or having sodas or something between meals. and rarely ever felt like it was time to eat. Now that I have been monitoring and limiting my food intake.I do feel periods of, "MUST EAT ALL THE THINGS NOW."

Rarely I will even feel a little light headed. at which point I know it is time to stop, eat something and take a small walk. I may have to start keeping little cans of nuts or something around so I don't have to fret over what to eat. But I'll look into that as the week progresses.
